Project Assistant - East Midlands
The Role:
Brilliant opportunity for a dynamic and ambitious Project Assistant to join an exciting and expanding consultancy based in their East Midlands office. The position is suitable for a well-rounded individual with experience in the construction industry looking to take a step forward within a proactive Project Management business.
The Project Assistant is responsible for assisting Project Managers in coordinating the activities of a project to ensure cost, schedule, document control and quality standards are met.
Head Count: 32
Predominate Sectors: Multi-room project delivery, care homes, care villages, extra-care, hotels and student accommodation.
The Project Assistant is expected to assist in the following:
Pre-Contract Project:
Technical Due Diligence assistance
Feasibility and Option Studies assistance
Planning Applications and Permissions assistance
Tender documentation – assisting preparation/compilation
Contractor & Consultant appointment assistance
Post Contract Project:
Contract Documentation assisting preparation/compilation
Issuing Site Instructions and Variation Instructions
Attending Site and Client Meetings when required and taking minutes
Assisting with the preparation of project reports and cost reports
Practical Completion site snagging visits
Making Good Defects site visits
Other administrational roles include:
Answer phones
Meetings (booking meeting rooms, meeting visitors, teas/coffee)
Ensure Movements are updated in Outlook Calendars
Letters of appointment / covering letters
Arranging Courier Services
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
