Senior Project Manager - Central London (London Bridge)

They have an impressive turnover for a growing business of over £500M last year and they hired 90 new employees – taking their headcount to over 300.

Excitingly, they have plans to set up a development side of the business (land acquisitions etc) next year in order to keep everything in-house!

The Role: As Senior Project Manager, you will be accountable for the oversight of projects and project teams, during the preconstruction and construction stages of the project. You will be supported by an internal team of construction, design, and commercial managers. This is a client facing role.

You will provide strong and effective leadership in managing relationships and delivering outputs to realise commercially successful outcomes, on time and to high quality standards.   

The role will predominantly be office based in their London HQ, with visits to the factory, site, consultant offices and client locations as required.

You can have experience in any sector, they are very flexible in this area. However, you will need previous pre-construction experience specifically across RIBA stages 2-4 and must be commercially minded.

Requirements for the Senior Project Manager:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline/ or equivalent work experience

  • Member of APM/RICS/CIOB or equivalent professional organisation, or actively working towards membership

  • Established senior project professional, having worked as either a Project Manager at a consultancy, or as a Preconstruction Manager at a contractor. Construction Manager’s with strong preconstruction experience will also be considered, as will individuals from a client background

  • Experience of working throughout all project stages from inception through to the end of defects period

  • Experience of leading teams and mentoring more junior colleagues 

  • Experience of modular building desirable but not essential

  • Experience in the education sector is desirable but not essential
