Project Manager - Berkshire
The Role: This highly established company is one of the country’s leading experts in the conservation of stone, plaster, wall-paintings and the decorative arts.
The business continues to grow and flourish, and so too does their team of excellent conservators, craftspeople, apprentices and managers who are at the heart of the organisation, and key to their success.
My clients now looking for an experienced and proactive individual, to manage and develop a portfolio of projects within the stone section of the business.
Flexible working is actively encouraged across the business, with most people working two days a week in the office.
Job Location: Buckinghamshire
Head Count: 45+
Projects: Decorative plaster work, stone masonry & carving, conservation of decorative artifacts, and conservation advisory
What the role involves for the Project Manager:
Delivery of an existing order book of projects in the South East and further afield:
Managing quality, programme and schedule of works
Managing of a team of employees, labour-only and larger subcontractors
Working with the Commercial Manager to manage contractual change and delivery
The development of new business:
Pricing and estimating jobs
Contribution to tenders and new negotiated opportunities
Networking and relationship management
Contribution to research, education and training others within your field of expertise:
The Project Manager will:
Be an excellent communicator
Insist on quality works at all times, and appreciate the highest of standards in conservation
Be able to get the best out of a team
Be practically minded with experience of one or more trade
Be able to spot a commercial opportunity and understand risk
Take pride in delivering best practice in all that you do
