Project Manager (Data Centres) - Central London (Clerkenwell)

The Role: Unique opportunity to join an independent, employee-owned business as a strategic hire within their Data Centre Team.

Known for great service, talented people and smart thinking.  As experts in managing projects and programmes, their expansion into this sector gives data centre clients a crucial, competitive advantage.

Managing data centre construction and technical infrastructure (M&E services) upgrade projects; this is not an IT-related role.

Additionally, the Project Manager will assist in developing and promoting their services within the data centre sector.

Business development will include keeping abreast of current and future market trends, identifying target clients and opportunities, supporting bid preparation and assisting my client to maintain and expand their presence in the sector. 

If not completed already, you’ll have a strong desire to gain chartership – all personal development is fully supported and funded.

You would have the option to work across other sectors if you wish.

This requirement is due to on-going expansion.

Requirements for the Project Manager:

  • Experience working for a UK based construction / property consultancy

  • Academic qualification in a relevant construction or engineering discipline

  • 2+ years’ experience in managing/assisting construction projects involving complex engineering services installations

  • Experience of successfully delivering/assisting data centre projects or projects in other relevant sectors i.e., pharmaceutical, infrastructure, industrial, manufacturing, biomedical, petrochemical or similar

  • Technical knowledge of construction, mechanical and electrical services, controls (BMS) and security installations
