Building Surveyor - Central London (Barbican)

The company was founded in back in 1999 by a group of surveyors and has since grown from strength to strength, now operating out of five offices across the UK!

They advise investors, developers, occupiers and owners on commercial property and construction.  Services include construction consultancy, building surveying, dilapidations and cost consultancy, covering a range of sectors including retail, industrial and offices. 

 

The Role: You would be working within a team of highly experienced and trained individuals, with a focus to their Residential & Commercial projects, but they do work across a variety of other sectors.  

The successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate experience in building inspections, acquisition surveys, dilapidations, contract administration, maintenance and refurbishment projects, schedules of condition & party wall awards.

You will also be responsible for providing a full service to the clients of the business across a range of sectors, as well as giving support and advice to other members of the department.

Hybrid working is offered with just 1-2 days a week office commitment required. Fully remote is available providing you can back it up with results!

Requirements for the Building Surveyor:

  • Degree qualified – within a construction related discipline

  • Membership of RICS

  • Experience of dealing with and providing advice on a range of building/quantity surveying-related matters

  • Understanding of the needs and demands of clients and will to exceed their expectations

  • Commercially aware

  • Able to prioritise workload, planning ahead as required

  • Confident communicator both verbally and in writing

  • Able to work individually or in a team
