Senior Building Surveyor – South East London
The Company: An award winning multi-disciplinary Property & Construction Consultancy, comprised of professional Chartered Surveyors and Construction Consultants, working collaboratively within the residential, commercial, education and leisure sectors!
Located in South-East London, the office has excellent public transport links, with the Elizabeth line & overground just a few minutes’ walk away!
Whilst working hard, you can expect to have at least two large social events every year, typically in Spring and Christmas! This is usually held in a bar or restaurant in Central London; drinks and food are included, giving everyone a chance to come together to socialise. There are also other gatherings in smaller teams throughout the year.
Flexible working is offered with typically two days a week office commitment required.
The Role: They are looking for a motivated individual to provide professional expertise on all building related matters on their client’s projects, taking ownership of projects and delivering from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in establishing a client's requirements and undertake feasibility studies
Undertaking a variety of surveys and inspections
Preparing and producing specifications for works, tender and contract documents
Coordinating members of the design team and project stakeholders
Acting as Employer’s Agent and Contract Administrator
Site visits, assessments and projections for future work
Writing reports and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.)
Analyse site activities; prepare progress reports on time, quality and cost of projects
Advising on and acting in accordance with the Party Wall Etc Act, as an appointed surveyor
Advising on and acting in accordance with CDM Regulations and in the capacity of Principal Designer

Requirements for the Senior Building Surveyor:
Degree qualified – within a construction related discipline
Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
Excellent time management
Understanding of the needs and demands of clients and will to exceed their expectations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both written and verbal
Able to prioritise workload, planning ahead as required
Able to work individually or in a team
Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
