Senior Building Surveyor – South East London

The company now operates from four offices across the country, with an annual turnover of £22M. Hybrid office working is available, with opportunities to work between both of their Central London & Southeast London branches.

The Role: They are seeking a dynamic Senior Building Surveyor, capable of taking the lead role in instructions, client management and assisting other surveyors and graduates within the team, whilst ensuring clients are provided with a high-quality building surveying service!

You would be part of a close nit team comprised of 15 specialists, working across a wide range of company sectors.

A few key personal duties to the position include:

  • Fulfilling the service role and overall lead client contact in connection with the projects.

  • Ensuring that all surveying work is in full compliance with relevant statutory requirements and regulations.

  • Developing and delivering the client requirements through a solid understanding and experience of the environment.

  • Undertaking professional work and producing reports and schedules following initial survey.

  • Ensuring that projects and invoices are billed on time, as well as assisting the financial team in the payment of aged debts.

Requirements for the Senior Building Surveyor:

  • MRICS with minimum 4 years PQE with a Degree in Building Surveying

  • Clear & concise report writing skills

  • Expertise in general building surveying i.e. contract administration

  • Able to meet fee targets and generate new business through building successful client relationships

  • Experience managing & mentoring teams

  • Commercial awareness and understanding

  • Embraces technology to deliver reports efficiently

  • High level of up to date technical building knowledge
