The Role: My client is setting their sights on an ambitious & highly motivated Assistant Quantity Surveyor to be the latest addition to their Surveying team!
You would be working across all company sectors, proving assistance to the Senior members of the team on High End Residential, Commercial Offices, Retail, Leisure & Mixed-Use projects!
Flexible/remote working is a fixed part of the company. You would be expected in the office 2-3 days a week.
A few key responsibilities:
Measuring drawings using measurement software.
Producing Cost Estimates at various RIBA stages
Undertaking value engineering tasks on projects to see where money can be saved or used more efficiently
Compiling tender documents, writing preliminaries and producing pricing documents for contractors to tender
Projecting the cash forecast for the project
Attending Design Team meetings and drafting meeting notes where required
Attending site meetings, drafting meeting notes, carrying out valuations and producing associated paperwork to allow payment

Requirements for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor:
Hold a relevant degree in construction/property
Have working experience in a consulting environment
Demonstrate ability to work with minimal supervision
Have excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Have the ability to work in a timely manner and to deadlines
Show ability to work as part of a team
Working towards professional membership, with RICS
Be confident in using MS Office, particularly Teams and SharePoint
Be willing to travel to the office and client site(s) as and when required
Show interest in the construction industry and demonstrate understanding of the importance of client care
