The Role: My client, a global and industry leading property & construction consultancy are looking for an experienced Associate Quantity Surveyor to be the latest addition to their large and growing team in Covent Garden.

They were founded back in 1835, operate in all sectors of the built environment and boast 17 offices that span across two continents!

Whilst this role is for an Associate position, they still have a proven track record of internal progression all the way from graduate positions to Partner, so there’s plenty of room to further advance!

You will be working in a large team of 35 including five partners. It is crucial that you have previous experience mentoring & managing teams – you must be passionate about this too.

Project values typically range between 10M – 40M, however, past ventures have seen them manage projects with values soaring between £100m - £300M.

Office Location: Central London (Covent Garden)

Start Date: ASAP

Head Count: 1000+

Project Sectors: Commercial, Residential, Mixed-Use, Fit Out, Hospitality, Leisure & Public Education

 

Requirements for the Associate Quantity Surveyor:

  • 5+ years experience working for a UK based construction / property consultancy

  • Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level in Quantity Surveying or a related field

  • Membership of a chartered institute (or working towards) in the construction industry (e.g. RICS, CIBSE, CIOB)

  • Track record of successful project budgetary management cost reporting and cost control through the project lifecycle on projects of varying sizes and complexity

  • In-depth knowledge of construction contract management including standard forms of contract and procurement options

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience managing teams & mentoring (not essential)
