The Role: They are introducing this exciting role to join their expanding Residential Development and Regeneration team to work on a variety of pre and post contract cost management and employer’s agent/contract administration activities across an array of exciting projects.

They are keen to meet innovative people who have the talent to consistently identify efficient and effective ways of working!

You will need to be confident managing risks and delivering schemes from inception to completion, whilst maintaining regular communication with clients, contractors and developers. You’ll also be managing budgets, programmes, risks, procurement processes undertaking negotiation with contractors, and subsequent projections of overall cash savings.

Previous public sector & private housing development experience is favourable & you must be willing to travel nationally with an ability to manage your own diary and workload efficiently.

Requirements for the Senior Employers Agent:

  • You have a Quantity Surveying or Building Surveying Degree awarded by a UK university and accredited by the RICS.

  • Ideally you are a fully Chartered Quantity Surveyor or Building Surveyor (MRICS), with a minimum of two years post qualification experience, or are working towards this.

  • You have a minimum of 5 years work experience within the industry as a Project Manager / Employer’s Agent, Quantity Surveyor or as a Building Surveyor.

  • You have experience and understanding of the full RIBA Plan of Work Stages and delivering the role against these.

  • You have demonstrable experience in the full life cycle of a client project.

  • A solid understanding and experience of a variety of procurement routes.

  • You have a proven and demonstrable ability to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

  • You have a proven and demonstrable ability to deliver on time and provide a high-quality proactive service to clients.

  • You have advanced excel skills with the capability of linking spreadsheets, producing graphical reports, lookup formulae and analysis.
