My client is a multi-disciplinary consultancy who are transforming the environment for the public and private sectors. Their team of experts have a deep knowledge of health, life science and higher education.

Specialising in providing advisory and delivery of services including healthcare strategy, planning, property services, sustainability and programme, project and cost management services, and tapping into a wealth of experience to address client challenges.

Their Cost Managers are responsible for delivering expert advice to clients on capital projects of varying size and complexity in their specialist sectors from strategic case through to post-occupancy.

 

Office Location: Central London (Monument)

 

Start Date: ASAP

Project Sectors: Healthcare, Life Sciences & Education

 

Requirements for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Previous experience working for UK based property & construction consultancy

  • Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level in Quantity Surveying or a related field

  • Membership of a chartered institute (or working towards) in the construction industry (e.g. RICS, CIBSE, CIOB)

  • Track record of successful project budgetary management cost reporting and cost control through the project lifecycle on projects of varying sizes and complexity

  • In-depth knowledge of construction contract management including standard forms of contract and procurement options

  • Good working knowledge of the public sector, including technical knowledge and understanding of the requirements of healthcare and/or life science, including capital and procurement protocols, applicable to the NHS

  • Excellent communication skills
